A meeting was held in Tai'an, Shandong Province to advance the work on the publishing and printing industry chain.

To deeply implement the strategy of strengthening the city through new industrialization and continuously promote the high-quality development of the publishing and printing industry across the city, a work advancement meeting for the publishing and printing industry chain in Tai'an City was convened on May 16th.

Attending the meeting were Wang Aixin, Member of the Tai'an Municipal Party Committee, Minister of Propaganda, and Leader of the Publishing and Printing Industry Chain; Su Xuefeng, Vice Chairman of the Tai'an CPPCC and Deputy Leader of the Publishing and Printing Industry Chain; Li Hongzhou, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Tai'an Culture, Radio, Television, and Tourism Bureau and Head of the Task Force for the Publishing and Printing Industry Chain; Song Shaofeng, Deputy Director of the Tai'an Culture, Radio, Television, and Tourism Bureau and Deputy Head of the Task Force; main leaders from the propaganda departments and cultural tourism bureaus of each county and district; heads of the industrial comprehensive service groups from the promotion offices of each county and district; the person in charge of the Tai'an High-tech Zone's Management Service Center; and all staff members of the task force for the publishing and printing industry chain.

The meeting reviewed the progress, existing issues, and future plans of the publishing and printing industry chain. Representatives from each county, district, and the High-tech Zone exchanged views, followed by Minister Wang Aixin's keynote speech.

It was pointed out that after over two years of cultivation, the industry chain has seen a solid foundation, expanding scale, and improved mechanisms, achieving commendable results. However, with the evolution of the industry, new challenges have emerged, such as intensified economic downturn pressures, small industry scale lacking heavyweight enterprises, insufficient momentum for industrial transformation and upgrading, gaps in fostering new productive forces, and adjustments leading to fresh challenges. The meeting emphasized that it's a critical juncture requiring breakthroughs and enhancements.

To address the new situation, five areas for breakthrough and improvement were highlighted: boosting investment attraction, intensifying project implementation, advancing digital transformation, enhancing service support, and strengthening the workforce. The meeting urged all personnel involved in the publishing and printing industry to rejuvenate their spirits, increase motivation, work diligently, and strive for excellence in the arena of new industrialization, fully implementing tasks related to the industry chain, continuously forging ahead in work, and contributing more significantly to the accelerated construction of a strong industrialized city.
